Make an ad for your product
Ask your influencer for an ad or sponsored post. Give the product's name, link and photos, review the stills and the brief, then approve the video before it posts.

Ask for the ad
Say it is an ad, a sponsored post or a brand deal, and name the product.
- On the web: press New post idea at the top of Today, or Create in the left menu. On your phone: tap the + at the top of a tab.
- Pick your influencer, choose Reel, write your request and press Draw it for and their name.
- Or ask in chat, with up to three photos per message. See Chat with your influencer.
For example: "Make an ad for the Lumi Desk Lamp. Page: https://example.com/lumi. Put the code LUMI10 in the caption."
Give the team the product's full name, a link to its official page or to a picture of it (the team saves the photos from there), any code or line the brand wants, and what the ad must not claim.
What the ad manager does
An ad manager on the team researches the product, then writes the ad brief: the one thing a viewer should understand, the moment that proves it, the call to action, what they assumed, and what the ad must never claim: results, numbers, health benefits or weeks of use.
If only you can answer something (a link, a code, a claim the brand approved), your influencer asks in chat, up to three questions, while the team carries on with its assumptions. Your settings under Account, Notifications decide whether and when you get them.
What you review
- The ad arrives in Today as a storyboard. On the web the card says "Storyboard · talking ad". Its stills are what the video is filmed from. The team has checked them against the brief and the product's photos.
- On the web, click the card and open Ad brief, Product research, Team checks and Video plan. Made from shows the product photos used. The storyboard says what happens and what your influencer says. The phone shows no brief.
- Press Generate video, then watch it and press Approve video. Only then does it post.
How long it is
Most ads are talking videos of 20 to 30 seconds; none is longer than 30. They take longer than a plain reel, because the team watches every take before the ad is cut together. Allow more than the "10 to 15 minutes" the card shows.
Check it, and fix what is off
- Compare the product on screen with Made from. The caption should say plainly that it is an ad or a paid partnership, and carry your link or code.
- Press Edit (the pencil on your phone), say what is wrong and press Redraw. Editing a finished video sets it aside: you redraw the pictures and generate the video again.
- Edit doesn't change the words said. See What your influencer says in videos.
- To drop the ad, press the X.
Note: A talking ad is the most expensive kind of post. See How credits work. For a failed video, see My video failed or is taking too long.
