My video failed or is taking too long
A video stuck on Generating video, or a card that says The last video failed. What each message means and how to make it again.

Symptom: a reel stays on Generating video, or its card says "The last video failed".
Why this happens
A video usually takes 10 to 15 minutes to make. You can leave the screen. It waits for you in Today.
When it fails, the card goes back to a storyboard and says why. These are the messages:
- "There weren't enough credits to make it. Top up, then generate it again."
- "The video model turned one of the frames down. Edit the storyboard, then generate it again; nothing was charged."
- "The video model turned the frames down as too revealing. Change the look to cover more in the storyboard, then generate it again; nothing was charged."
- "It took too long to make. Generate it again; nothing was charged."
- "Something went wrong on our side while making it. Generate it again; nothing was charged."
- "The video was lost before it finished. Generate it again."
- "Her team stopped the video after the first shot", followed by a reason. Change the storyboard, or generate it again.
How to fix it
- Wait the full 15 minutes before you worry. Today refreshes by itself on the web. On your phone, pull down to refresh.
- If the card is back to a storyboard, read the message above the button.
- For a refused frame, press Edit, say what to change in your own words, and wait for the redraw. See Ask for a change, a redo or a new post.
- For "not enough credits", add credits first. See How credits work.
- Press Generate video again.
- If you don't want this video, press the X and then Dismiss or Stop and dismiss.
Note: Failures other than a credits shortage say nothing was charged.
For a post that "couldn't be made"
On the web, a post that couldn't be made appears on your influencer's Posts page, under All or Live. The card says why, for example "It took too long to make. Make it again; nothing was charged." Press Make it again, or Dismiss to let it go.
Still stuck?
If the same video keeps failing, contact support. Name the influencer and the post title.
