Meet your influencer's team
Every influencer has a team that finds trends, writes ideas, plans shoots, styles, checks and messages. See who does what, and where you can see them at work.

A team behind every influencer
Each influencer comes with a small team of specialists. They work in the background, and what they make shows up in Today for you to decide on. Your influencer is part of it: they choose which idea they would really post and sign off their own look.
Who does what
- Scout: looks for trends, formats, sounds, local events and creators worth learning from. It brings back formats to make a version of, never anyone's footage.
- Head Writer: writes ideas from real top videos and trends in the niche, and puts forward the best two for each post.
- Strategist: decides what each post is for, such as an episode of a series, a trend the Scout found or the next slot in the plan.
- Creative Director: turns the idea into scenes: the moment, the place, the camera and the light.
- Stylist: chooses hair, makeup, outfit and accessories for each shoot, to suit the weather and the place.
- Publicist: sends you check-ins and questions and, where you allow it, replies to fans.
- Critic: looks at every idea, picture and video clip the way a stranger scrolling past would, before you see it, and says what to fix. If a set still isn't right after several tries, the post is held back instead of shown to you.
For product ads
When you ask for an ad, two more specialists join in:
- Ad manager: works out what the product is for, researches it, writes the ad brief and checks the finished ad against it.
- Producer: plans a whole talking ad in one go: the story, every spoken line, every shot, the places and the sound.
See Make an ad for your product.
Where you see them at work
- The strip on Today says "Working on it", "All drawn" or "Your agents are resting". Open it to see each influencer's last check-in, how many posts are planned this week and when they plan again. On your phone, tap it for Activity. It names your influencer, not each specialist.
- Waits for you beside an influencer means Works independently is off, so they only act when you ask. Paused means you paused them.
- Messages on Today shows what your influencer wrote on their own, such as a question with answers to tap. Press Reply to carry on in the chat.
- Team checks: on the web, click a post to open its preview. This row lists each check the team ran before you saw the post, marked Passed, Let through or Turned down.
How to steer them
You talk to your influencer, and they brief the team. See Chat with your influencer. The team also takes note of the posts you approve, dismiss and ask to change. More in Where your influencer's ideas come from.
Note: While an influencer is paused, their team makes no check-ins or new ideas. Posts you already approved still go out. See Let your influencer post on their own, or pause them.
