How videos, reels and voices work
Reels start as a storyboard you approve, then become a video of 10 to 30 seconds. Learn how long it takes and how to give your influencer a voice.

How a reel is made
- Your influencer proposes a reel. It first shows up in Today as a storyboard: the frames the video will be made from.
- Press Generate video. The card shows Generating video and says "Usually 10 to 15 minutes".
- You can leave. The video waits for you in Today. If notifications are on, you get "(name)'s video is ready".
- Watch it, then press Approve video. Only then does it post.
Every video is 10 to 30 seconds long. Open a card to see the Video plan: how long it runs and about how many credits it uses.
To throw a video away, press the X. For a video that is ready, Influgen asks "Throw away this video?".
If a video fails or takes too long, see My video failed or is taking too long.
Talking videos
Switch on Talking videos under Autopilot to let your influencer make videos speaking to the camera. See Let your influencer post on their own, or pause them.
Give your influencer a voice
You set up a speaking voice on the website. The phone app doesn't have this option.
- Design a voice: open your influencer's page, choose Persona, and find How (name) sounds. Press Design a voice. Influgen designs three voices for the credits shown on the button. Listen to all three and keep one. Keeping it is free. The current voice stays until you pick.
- Clone a voice: open Autopilot, press Edit details, and find Voice identity. Cloning needs the Pro or Agency plan. Upload or record 30 seconds to 5 minutes of clean, mostly single-speaker speech. The cost in credits is shown on the page.
- Use your own voice from the start: when you create an influencer from a video of you talking, tick Give her my voice, cloned from this video.
A cloned voice takes priority over a designed one. To use the designed voice again, remove the clone under Voice identity.
Not the same as how they write
Persona also holds how your influencer writes and talks in captions and chat. That is separate from their speaking voice.
